The UFC anti-doping test history has been updated for the first half of 2024.
675 fighters have been tested while 2154 samples have been collected to date.
But nobody has been tested more than former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor.
The Irishman hasn’t competed inside the UFC Octagon since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier during their trilogy bout in July 2021.
Yet he has been tested a grand total of 10 times by the UFC Anti-Doping Program (UFC ADP) since the start of 2024.
Coming in just behind him with seven tests is former foe Jose Aldo, who McGregor famously knocked out in 13 seconds back in 2015 to win his first world title from (the UFC featherweight strap).
New female bantamweight signing Kayla Harrison comes in at No.3 with six tests.
Meanwhile, Anthony Smith, Bruno Arruda, Marlon Vera and Mayra Silva have all been tested five times.
Last October, the UFC announced it would be ending its partnership with long-term drug testing partner, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
As of January, they have teamed up with Drug-Free Sport International to carry out their new anti-doping programme.
Most tested UFC fighters in first half of 2024
Conor McGregor: 10
Jose Aldo: 7
Kayla Harrison: 6
Anthony Smith: 5
Bruno Arruda: 5
Marlon Vera: 5
Mayra Silva: 5
McGregor had been tested five times before his comeback fight against Michael Chandler had been announced and a further five times leading up to it being called off.
‘Notorious’ was supposed to meet Chandler in the UFC 303 main event on June 29.
However, he suffered a broken toe in sparring which led to the contest being postponed until further notice.
It is presently unclear exactly when McGregor vs Chandler will be rescheduled to but MMA’s biggest star insists he will be ready in two months.
“August or September I’d love,” he told Severe MMA when asked for a potential return date last week.
“You know the way it is. I’m in recovery mode. It happened three weeks ago to the day. And I’m still here rocking around in the slippers.
“They are not bad slippers, thankfully. They are cosy enough, but I can’t get into a shoe yet.”
