Celtic and Rangers meet for the first Old Firm Derby of the season this Sunday with the Scottish giants both looking to remain unbeaten.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have won all three of their Scottish Premiership games so far, scoring nine goals and conceding none.
Meanwhile, the Gers have come out on top in two of their three opening fixtures, drawing to Hearts in their curtain-raiser before beating Motherwell and Ross County.
Celtic have won 12 of the last 13 league titles and will be eyeing another this term, but a win here for Rangers would prove they are going to push them all the way again.
Celtic vs Rangers: What has been said?
There will be no away fans allowed at this Old Firm despite there being an agreement made for supporters to be allowed in the stadium earlier this year.
If the two clubs made sure their stadiums had the necessary requirements to allow away fans in for their opening two derbies, it was planned to happen.
Around five per cent of the allocation was set to go to the Rangers fans this weekend, but that has now been revoked for this fixture.
And it’s a decision that led to complaints about both clubs until Rodgers came out to defend Celtic, claiming it’s Rangers who haven’t held up their end of the deal.
Rodgers said: “Celtic have played their part in what they were asked to do. Nothing of this was Celtic’s issue, nothing. When you go back to when all this was started it’s nothing to do with Celtic.
“Celtic gets dragged into this here as being a Celtic-Rangers thing. It’s not a Celtic-Rangers thing, this is a Rangers thing.
“Celtic are asked to have this agreement to make the stadium safe, we plough money into that and we do the work which started months ago. On both parties that hasn’t been agreed. It’s not complicated, it hasn’t been done.
“It’s not great faith if we allow Rangers supporters in then we get to January and our own supporters can’t get in.
“The agreement hasn’t been upheld so Celtic rightly have to defend their supporters and the club, and sadly the Rangers supporters miss out on this game and Celtic in the return game.
“Let’s hope after that we can find a way to get the supporters in.”
Celtic vs Rangers: Team news
Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn was dropped to the bench for Celtic last time out but he is likely to come back into the line-up for the Old Firm.
Summer signing Adam Idah was preferred to Manchester City-linked Kyogo Furuhashi in the game against St Mirren too as they compete for a starting spot.
Paulo Bernardo looks set to take Matt O’Riley’s place in the midfield three.
As for Rangers, Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo both scored two last weekend and should keep their places in the team.
Leon Balogun was substituted with an injury in their previous outing and could miss out with Dujon Sterling potentially slotting in at centre-back to cover him.
Robin Propper remains sidelined while Todd Cantwell is still waiting for a move away from the club.
