It’s only a matter of time before Caleb Williams is a Chicago Bear.
The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft takes place in Detroit on Thursday night with former Torjans QB Williams widely-expected to be selected No. 1 overall by the Bears.
The perennially-rebuilding Bears have two picks in the top 10 of tonight’s NFL Draft – one of which will be used on Williams.
The franchise’s other selection is at No. 9 overall with experts projecting them to pick Washington receiver Rome Odunze or Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II.
However, if it were up to Williams, he says he’d be using that pick on former high school teammate and Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu.
“If I was able to choose, and if I was picked No. 1 by the Bears, I’d probably go Olu Fashanu because I know he’d put his life on the line for me, protecting me,” Williams said.
“And then, I’d probably go one of the top three wide receivers, whoever’s there at 9.”
Williams made his own selection before unveiling his highly-anticipated draft day suit.
The strong-armed quarterback is known for his unique sense of style and didn’t disappoint as he made his way to the draft.
Williams had already teased fans about what he and his girlfriend will wear to the NFL Draft.
He recently posted: “Wait till yall see draft day suit and my ladies dress. 1 of 1s.”
On Thursday, fans finally got a glimpse of it as he left his hotel arm in arm with his partner and mom.
It was a navy blue Chrome Hearts suit with featured silver hearts and a zipper going up along the right side
Williams talked about his double-breasted zip-up to fellow fashionista Cam Newton on the NFL Network, describing it as “classy, subtle, one of one.”
“I wore a double-breasted zip-up, you don’t really see too many people with the double-breasted zip-ups,” Williams said.
“I went chrome hearts, stacking the chrome hearts from smallest to largest. I’ve got on the pants leg, I’ve got it on the back as a monochrome.’
