Borussia Dortmund fans gave Jurgen Klopp a rousing reception at Wembley – but Jose Mourinho didn’t get quite the same treatment.
The German giants take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final at the Home of Football this Saturday, live on talkSPORT.
The Yellow Wall was in place well before kick-off and were quickly in fine voice behind the goal.
But the volume went up even higher when former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp – who was in the crowd for the game – popped up on the screen in the stadium
BVB’s fans all cheered and clapped the German – who ended his nine-year reign at Liverpool last month – as he appeared.
But as the camera switched to a shot of ex-Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, their reaction switched up.
Quick as a flash, loud boos started echoing out of the Yellow Wall at Wembley.
Mourinho – who gave an update on his next job while doing punditry for TNT Sport on the night – didn’t appear to react to the boos.
Klopp certainly did though!
After focusing on Mourinho, the screen cut back to Klopp, and sure enough the Dortmund crowd started cheering again!
The German had a huge smile on his face as he realised what was going on and he lifted his arms in the air to signal to his former club’s fans.
While this head-to-head was much more lighthearted, the pair have faced off from the dugouts on numerous occasions.
Klopp has won seven out of 13 meetings with Mourinho, with the pair drawing four times. Meanwhile, the Portuguese boss has managed to beat Klopp twice.
For Saturday night, though, the pair will be sitting back and soaking up one of the best games football has to offer.
Thousands more Dortmund fans have filled Hyde Park in London in the evening, too.
Meanwhile, a section of Real Madrid supporters have fallen victim to a scam that affected their flights.
