A ball boy was removed from Rangers’ game against St Mirren after deceiving defender Leon Balogun.
The youngster was sitting beside the pitch when the ball ran out for a throw-in and ended up at his feet.
Balogun then approached him to get the ball back and take the throw-in, however, he decided to make a cheeky move,
He held the ball out for the Rangers defender before throwing it away as soon as the Nigerian reached out for it.
The crowd responded with a cheer as Balogun looked back and sarcastically clapped the ball boy who remained sat on his stool.
The game continued after the incident but two minutes later, a St Mirren staff member stepped in.
She was seen walking away with the boy behind her, seemingly after telling him he can no longer be part of the game.
He trudged off the pitch with a ball under his arm with commentators laughing at his ‘substitution’.
As he walked off, the home fans booed and clapped and the Sky Sports commentary team explained the situation.
They said while laughing: “Those boos were relating to the substitution of the ball boys there.
“Our pal with the mohawk has just been removed!”
Whether it was a permanent ‘substitution’ for the ball boy is yet to be seen, but he will certainly be getting a telling-off.
At the time, the scores were level at 0-0 but Rangers would take the lead through a James Bolton own goal.
Mikael Mandron then equalised for St Mirren making it 1-1 at half time.
Rangers are in the middle of a title battle with bitter rivals Celtic and trail them by two points in the Scottish Premiership.
This is a must-win for the Gers so they will be wanting all ball boys on the top of their game!.
