Few players boast a catalogue of world class teammates like former Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos does.
From his seven-year spell in north London to his loan spell at AC Milan, the 39-year-old was part of two genuine star-studded squads.
At Arsenal, he was a key player alongside Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Pires and Robin van Persie to name a few.
While at the San Siro, he joined a team that included Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Kaka, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, Andriy Shevchenko and Andrea Pirlo.
The 2005 FA Cup winner was in the talkSPORT studio on Wednesday, where he was playing a game on Drive involving Henry, Beckham, Kaka and Ronaldinho.
He opted to name Beckham as his best trainer, with 2002 World Cup winner Kaka selected for giving the best team-talks.
The former Switzerland international was then asked by host Andy Goldstein who out of Henry and Ronaldinho was most competitive.
“Thierry was the most competitive for sure.
“Not only on the training pitch, I can imagine him in every single part of his life being the most competitive.
“Whether it’s playing cards or having a little friendly bet with you, he was the most – and he still is the most – competitive guy I’ve ever met.”
Pressed as to whether his elite mentality was one of the reasons for him becoming one of the world’s top players, Senderos remarked: “Most probably, yes – or definitely yes.
“You need that, for him he needed that.
“It’s difficult to compare [Henry’s mentality] to Ronaldinho, he is in a different category in terms of football magic, which is not the same.”
This left Senderos to name Ronaldinho, unsurprisingly, as the most fun person to have on a night out.
Commenting on the Barcelona icon, he stated: “He was very relaxed, as a player and a person and a magician on the field.
“He would do things on the ball that I’d never seen tricks like this, in training but in the games it was the same.
“You give him a square and he makes it a circle, he would make any bad ball a good ball.
“He had this ability to go past people as well – a magician.”
Ronaldinho, who won the Ballon d’Or in 2005, is widely recognised as being one of the most naturally-gifted footballers in history.
So much so, that his former Barca teammate Bojan named him over Lionel Messi when discussing the player who gave him the most joy.
