Former AEW Continental Champion Eddie Kingston has broken his silence after suffering a legitimate knee injury.
Kingston suffered the injury during a match with Gabe Kidd at the NJPW Resurgence show last week, which left his status for AEW Double or Nothing in doubt.
Kingston was set to be a part of Anarchy in the Arena at AEW Double or Nothing, where he was to team with FTR and Bryan Danielson on Team AEW against The Elite.
AEW announced Kingston’s injury on last night’s Dynamite show, with him being replaced in the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing by the returning Darby Allin.
Taking to Instagram, Kingston broke his silence on the injury, sharing a photo of his knee in a brace, along with the caption:
“Once you’ve wrestled, everything else in life is easy.” –Dan Gable
We wish Eddie a full and complete recovery from his injury.
