AEW commentator Taz has squashed his online issue with recent WWE crossover star and TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.
On June 25, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace took to social media to post a photo of herself after working out and used former ECW Heavyweight Champion Taz’s signature catchphrase of “Beat me if you can, survive if I let you” as the caption.
This led to Taz retweeting the post and calling out Grace for using his catchphrase, writing:
Swing and a miss!
#trademarked
Grace commented on the post by stating that she was simply trying to pay homage. She wrote:
Not being able to quote legends that I’ve emulated for years wasn’t in my pro wrestling handbook, but duly noted.
This led to Taz responding with a video on social media where he addressed the brief online spat and explained where he was coming from before apologizing to Grace for this misunderstanding. Taking it in stride, Grace replied to the post, writing:
All good!! I was mostly surprised. I don’t tag because I don’t ever want to seem like a boot licker, but I got you next time.
Watching an old match of you vs Bigelow and wrestling at the ECW arena this weekend inspired the tweet, 100% an homage! We got the same body type
Jordynne Grace recently made her WWE NXT debut and challenged NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez for her title at NXT Battleground earlier this month.
