An almost year-old video of violence at West Ham’s Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar has been reposted by a surprise superstar.
The semi-final second leg in Netherlands last year saw Dutch ultras attack Hammers supporters.
Numerous east London stars including Lucas Paqueta were spotted trying to stop the AZ Alkmaar supporters reaching a block of fans which included loved ones of the players and staff.
One supporter, Knollsy, earned an incredible new reputation for batting away rival fans and ensuring they couldn’t reach some of the women and children nearby.
But almost 12 months on, Britney Spears bizarrely included footage from the violence in a post on Instagram.
The pop icon placed 10 pictures and videos in a gallery, with the West Ham footage last in the line-up.
Among the clips and pictures were Britney dancing at home, a picture of a horse, ballet shoes, and the word tongue.
The gallery was then captioned: “The deeper the well the better the water. My name River Red a miracle when I holler. ‘Cause I’m much too quiet yet in silence I make my point. A handmade chest when Snow “oink” 🐽 “oinks”
“Pss can anyone spot the angel flying in the video with the pool ???
“Pss life’s too short, violence is never the answer give someone a hug today !!!”
The last comment appear to explain why Britney posted the footage from the West Ham game.
Nonetheless, it was certainly surprising to see the iconic ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ singer’ posting clips involving the Hammers.
