The 2024 Paris Olympics is into day eight and it’s been thrilling so far – with another packed schedule in store today.
Having officially kicked on in a spectacular opening ceremony along the River Seine on Friday, July 26, there is plenty more action to come with the Games running until Sunday, August 11.
There are 30 gold medals up for grabs on Saturday, with the Women’s 100m Final the highlight of the day.
Team GB have a number of medal hopes, with boats in the Women’s Eight and Men’s Eight Finals as the rowing comes to an end, with those scheduled to get underway at 9:50 and 10:10am, respectively.
At 10:00am, the Men’s Road Race gets underway and Team GB have Mountain Bike gold medalist Tom Piddock in their side.
The equestrian has been successful for Team GB so far, and they can add another medal at 9:00am in the Dressage Team Grand Prix.
In the artistic gymnastics, there are a couple of medal hopes, with Jake Jarman competing in the Men’s Floor Exercise Final at 14:30pm and defending Olympic champion Max Whitlock is in the Pommel Horse Final at 16:16pm.
Finally, in the Women’s 100m Final at 20:20pm, Team GB will hope to have Dina Asher-Smith going for a medal.

Paris Olympics: How to watch on TV
BBC One and BBC Two are broadcasting over 250 hours of live coverage across the entire 16-day event.
This can be viewed for free on TV as well as live streamed through the BBC Website or BBC iPlayer via tablet or mobile devices.
However, the BBC can only show two events happening at any moment live at the same time.
That is because Discovery+ won the rights to be the main broadcaster in the UK, with 3,800 hours of live coverage of the Olympics through Eurosport, with fans able to subscribe here.
Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 will broadcast action across every day of competition, with live coverage from 7am -10.30pm daily.
Both Eurosport 1 and 2 will be available on Discovery+, along with seven event-curated Eurosport ‘pop-up’ channels.
In the US, you can watch the Paris Olympics on NBC and the USA Network, with live streaming available through Peacock and the NBC Sports app.
