Frazer Clarke would be willing to face Derek Chisora in one of his final two planned fights.
Chisora picked up a surprise win over Joe Joyce in an all-British barnstormer last weekend, which has seen him open the door to two more appearances before he retires.
There are a number of potential options for ‘WAR’ as he looks for rivals for his farewell tour, with domestic opponents likely to be in pole position.
And Clarke, who will first rematch Fabio Wardley for the British heavyweight title, would be up for the challenge to share the ring with Chisora.
“Yeah you know the way the sport is anything could happen,” he responded when asked about a potential clash with Chisora on talkSPORT’S Hawksbee and Jacobs.
“Any fights can be made, Derek is someone I look up to and he is certainly a role model of mine.
“For all the right reasons Derek is a bit crazy at times, he is a great fighter and servant to British boxing.
“Yeah, who knows? I could be in the hat for the big fight with Chisora. I’m sure that would be a great fight if it happens.
“I’ll have learned off of his fight last time, and I believe I would have the tools to get it done.”
Any showdown between Chisora and Clarke would certainly make sense, particularly if the former Olympian can edge past Wardley in their sequel.
It would be an intriguing clash of an all-action style, which would be an easy sell to fans given the prospect of another slugfest.
‘WAR’ has faced calls to retire after recent fights including in his previous win over Gerald Washington.
But after his upset of ‘The Juggernaut’, it is clear Chisora feels he is going nowhere until he reaches 50 total professional appearances.
“I love you, London. I tell you what, things were off there. I had to dig deep,” he said.
“Joe’s a good fighter but I knew I was going to drop him at some stage.
“I signed with Frank Warren and we went to York Hall, I think it’s a good time to end my career with the man I started with. Thanks, Frank.
“I’ve got two fights left, I’m not retiring tonight, but this was my last London fight.
“I’ll go to Manchester before the end of the year.”
