Trent Alexander-Arnold was pictured signing a Real Madrid shirt amid speculation over a summer transfer.
The Liverpool right-back has been linked with a switch to the Spanish giants as he enters the final year of his contract at Anfield.
talkSPORT understands the Reds are confident he will sign a new deal and therefore extend his stay at his boyhood club.
However, Alexander-Arnold may have added to the speculation over what could be a sensational move to Spain whilst on holiday.
In an image posted on social media, the England international can be seen signing a Real Madrid shirt belonging to a young fan in the United States.

Alexander-Arnold has also been seen with Madrid star and Three Lions teammate Jude Bellingham on a roller coaster at the Six Flags theme park in California.
The duo have become close friends amid their time together in the England camp, especially during Euro 2024.
When Bellingham scored the winner against Serbia in the group stages, he and Alexander-Arnold performed the Real Madrid star’s trademark celebration together.
It’s clear they have a strong bond, although it remains to be seen if they will shared the pitch together at the Bernabeu.
New Liverpool boss Arne Slot was recently asked how confident he is that a new contract can be agreed for Alexander-Arnold.
“My answer will probably be a bit boring,” he replied. “I think it’s the same answer you’ve heard in the last five, six or seven years.
“That contract situation is not discussed at this place but just keep trying, I would say!”
Alexander-Arnold is one of Liverpool’s most important players and a successful product of their academy.
The 25-year-old has made 310 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals and assisting a further 81 across all competitions.
During his spell in the first-team, Alexander-Arnold has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup and Super Cup.
Fans will certainly welcome a new contract but, as of now, the prospect of a move to Madrid is still a possibility.
