Chelsea are back in pre-season friendly action in the United States this weekend as they take on Celtic, with new manager Enzo Maresca looking to pick up his first win as Blues manager following their 2-2 draw with Wrexham in midweek.
French duo Christopher Nkunku and Lesley Ugochukwu were on the scoresheet for the Blues, who will be looking to improve on their sixth placed finish in the Premier League last season under Mauricio Pochettino, which followed a 12th placed finish the campaign prior.
Only Aston Villa and Southampton have made more signings this summer than Chelsea, who have made six new additions to their squad over the off-season, most of which, including the likes of new midfield star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, should be in action on Saturday.
Celtic, on the other hand, will be taking part in their fifth and final pre-season friendly before their new season gets underway next weekend with a home game against Kilmarnock on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have won three of their four pre-season friendlies so far, drawing the other, and includes a notable 4-3 win over Manchester City in their previous outing.
The reigning Scottish champions kicked off their pre-season tour of the United States with a 4-0 victory over DC United in the capital, and will end the tour on Saturday night against the six-time champions of England.
