Daily horse racing tips
- MUSSELBURGH
2.30: Colocolo & Horus straight exacta 4.43/1 (1.5pts) - EPSOM
7.25: Indian Creak 9/2 (1.5pts)
Colocolo
Decent enough attempt on debut behind Where’s Clare, who then went on to run at Royal Ascot, though disappointingly.
That was a Group 2 fillies Queen Mary Stakes, so it was a massive step up in class in which Colocolo made his debut against.
He was then a close second next time out and settled much better into the race, yet was still keen at the start.
That run at Windsor was won by John’s Dragon, who’s now rated 70, much higher than Colo Colo’s rivals today which puts him right up there past Harswell Dandy, who’s consistently placing second and third.
Horus also has potential to build on his latest run but may also need to find more to beat the odds-on favourite.
His form includes a fifth place, six lengths behind Shareholder, who went on to win the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes.
Second placed Moving Force was also prominent in that race albeit only finishing eighth four lengths off the improving Shareholder.
Third and fourth were rated 80 after this race so it does give Horus huge potential, if improving but he was given plenty of weight from his rivals.
Indian Creak
Won this race last year off of 2lb higher and has shown glimpses of coming back to form this season and a return to this course and distance might well see that success.
Flat racing is often met with lack of consistency unless you’re talking about the top race horses.
Mr Wagyu has been consistently up there this season too but will have to give away a huge amount of weight to Indian Creak.
The seven-year-old is a great price to return to the winners’ enclosure which he hasn’t seen since landing a quick double of wins in July last year in this race before going to Windsor a month later to win a Class 2 handicap.

David Probert is back on board for the first time since that win too so it can all come full circle.
