Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill UFC 300 Tips
Push it to the Max
Justin Gaethje defends his BMF title against Max Holloway here after winning the belt last year when he spectacularly knocked out Dustin Poirier by head kick.
Gaethje is 8-4 in the UFC and has made his name with consistent “kill or be killed” performances that have made the two-time title challenger one of the most fun fighters to watch on the roster.
Former Featherweight champion Holloway has done everything in his native division except defeat Alexander Volkanovski, who he suffered a trio of defeats against.
The 32-year-old previously stepped up to Lightweight on short notice to face Poirier for the interim championship in 2019, but came up short over five rounds. Now Holloway returns to Lightweight having spent more time preparing for this second venture at 155lbs.
With his fan-friendly style Hollloway has landed the most significant strikes in UFC history and has consistently delivered high pressure performances.
Crucially Hollloway has never been stopped or knocked down in his career.
To win here he will have to overcome a serious threat, however has the experience and skillset to be able to nick rounds, take Gaethje’s best and cause the champion big problems of his own.
Chaos from Charles
There is only one way Charles Oliveira knows how to fight and that is by causing complete carnage and chaos.
The 34-year-old is 22-9 in the UFC and is a former Lightweight champion with his defeat to Islam Makhachev in 2022 his only loss in 14 fights since the start of 2018.
The Brazilian is way clear as the leader for most submissions in UFC history with 16 to his name, with four KO/TKO’s on his resume.
Here he faces rising star Arman Tsarukyan, who is 8-2 in the UFC with 50% of his wins coming by KO/TKO.
The 27-year-old looked impressive last time out when knocking out Beneil Dariush in the first round, however Dariush also suffered the same fate against Oliveira in his previous fight.
Tsarukyan is well rounded and looks to be developing at a fast pace into championship material, however, whether he chooses to wrestle or strike, Oliveira will remain dangerous throughout and is more than worth backing on his record and finish rate.
Miller to mark 300 with a win
What more can you say about Jim Miller?
The 40-year-old will complete the astonishing feat of competing on UFC 100, 200 and 300 this weekend.
What’s more, a win over Bobby Green would see the 43 fight UFC veteran break into the top 15 in the Lightweight division.
Currently on a two-fight win streak and 5-1 in his last six, Miller has finished every one of those victories inside the distance with three KO/TKO’s and two submissions proving he is still a highly dangerous opponent.
Bobby Green is 12-10-1 (1 NC) in the UFC and currently sits at number 14 in the division.
The 37-year-old fought three times in 2023, defeating both Tony Ferguson and Grant Dawson.
However Green ended the year suffering a big knockout defeat to Jalin Turner in December, where a late stoppage saw him take some unnecessary punishment.
Green may have taken this one a little early and with Miller’s confidence high he could well seal this moment of history with a win.
