Two WWE stars have praised NXT North American Champion Oba Femi, sharing bold predictions about the rising star’s future main roster run.
Oba Femi is a success story from the current WWE developmental system, with the former college athlete making a name for himself as one of NXT’s most dominant stars.
Femi wrestled his 40th ever match at NXT Battleground, defending his North American Title against Wes Lee and Joe Coffey in a three way match.
Former WWE Champion Big E has taken to Twitter to note that Oba Femi is one of his favourite wrestlers currently.
Believing that he should become a world champion soon, Big E wrote:
Man, @Obaofwwe is incredible. Maybe my favorite pro wrestler on the planet right now. A main roster world championship should be in his near future. #NXTBattleground
WWE commentator Corey Graves also took to Twitter to ask SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to bring Femi to SmackDown, writing:
Dear @RealNickAldis, Oba Femi, please. 🙏🏻 #NXTBattleground #Smackdown
Femi has been the North American Champion since the January 9 NXT episode, when he defeated Dragon Lee after cashing in his NXT Breakout Tournament title shot.
