WWE star CM Punk has seemingly reacted to AEW airing backstage footage of his altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In.
Amid speculation as to how the segment was going to actually play out, on tonight’s Dynamite the EVPs the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) came through on their promise to deliver the footage from backstage at AEW All In.
The incident footage was shown on tonight’s episode of Dynamite featuring current WWE star CM Punk and current NJPW star Jungle Boy Jack Perry.
With the EVPs the Young Bucks giving details surrounding the footage by noting that it was relevant since they were distracted from chasing a win at AEW All In against FTR because they had to deal with this ‘stupid’ incident.
CM Punk took to his preferred form of social media, Instagram stories, to shoot out a quick reaction to the aired footage on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
Punk posted a photo of George W. Bush standing in front of a banner reading ‘Mission Accomplished’.
Bush famously made the ‘Mission Accomplished’ appearance in May 2003, however America remained in combat operations in Iraq for another eight years.
Elsewhere weighing in, Ariel Helwani reacted with a quick edit of both CM Punk’s description of events as well as the events as they occurred along with his appraisal that they lined up.
NOTE: AEW is copyright striking online videos of the footage, so it’s become unavailable. The company itself did not release the footage online either.
