Sean Strickland only had one thing on his mind after beating Paulo Costa.
The former middleweight champion easily outpointed Costa over five rounds, but the UFC 302 co-main event ended in a strange split decision on Saturday night.
One judge bizarrely saw the fight 49-46 in favour of ‘Borrachinha’ but was thankfully overruled by 50-45 and 49-46 scorecards in Strickland’s favour.
However, he wasn’t bothered about almost being robbed of his victory.
Strickland immediately ran out of the Octagon and made a beeline for Donald Trump, who was sitting cageside with Dana White at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The 33-year-old used his post-fight interview to shoutout Trump, who became the first American president to be criminally convicted earlier this week.
“President Trump, you’re the man,” Strickland said.
“It is a damn travesty what they are doing to you.
“I’ll be donating to you, my man. Let’s get it done.”
