Jordan Spieth was spotted swearing after being heckled at the Phoenix Open as one fan was seen urinating on the course.
The WM Phoenix Open has been dominated by unruly fans over this week with some of the players growing tired with the antics.
There have been fights, beer snakes in the crowd and one beer-soaked fan went topless and hurtled down a hill among the booze-fuelled activities at the PGA Tour event.
Vendors at TPC Scottsdale have had to stop selling alcohol as a result of the chaos that has ensued but that has not stopped fans from taking things a step too far.
That has included a video circulating on social media of one fan making it onto the golf course and urinating between holes in plain sight as others made their way around.
A golf caddy even drives past while the spectator urinates into a hole on the waste area in the middle of the day.
The video, which will not be circulated here, is just one of many incidents that have occurred this week, and not the first to involve fans urinating.
Another showed a man doing so while sitting on a stall surrounded by fellow spectators.
And there was further indignity when Spieth was about to take his shot only to be heckled by the rowdy crowd.
The 30-year-old could be seen mouthing the words ‘what the f***’ as he continued to try to play what can only be described as through noises resembling a frat house party.
Spieth is not the only one to have suffered such disruption with Billy Horschel biting back at fans who could be heard telling Nicolo Galletti before he took his shot that he ‘sucks’.
Known as the People’s Open, the WM Phoenix Open has always been more lenient with its allowance of alcohol, making for some wild scenes.
But the levels of debauchery seen at this year’s tournament has rubbed players up the wrong way, with Zach Johnson also clashing with fans in a separate issue.
There were also reports that a female patron was hospitalised after falling at the 16th hole, an infamous scene known as a hotbed of rowdiness.
And another from the venue claimed that 30 people had blacked out at the event, which led to alcohol sales to be halted.
Not long after, chants of ‘we want beer’ went up across the supporters as the ban was eventually lifted.
With the Super Bowl set to go ahead on Sunday night, there is cause for concern for organisers as fans looked to booze up before the final in Las Vegas.
