The 2024 IIHF men’s World Championship concluded on Sunday, with Team Czechia locking in a moment of national hockey history.
Czechia captured gold medal in front of a home crowd in Prague, defeating Switzerland 2-0. Meanwhile, Sweden beat Canada 4-2 to win the bronze medal.

Twenty-eight NHL teams had players represented at the tournament, whether they’re signed and on the NHL roster, signed and in the organization or unsigned but have their rights belonging to a franchise.
The Minnesota Wild had the most players represented, with nine. They saw some strong performances, including Filip Gustavsson in net for Sweden posting some of the best stats of the tournament, Matt Boldy leading the tournament in scoring and five players earning a medal, with David Spacek getting gold.
