Real Madrid vs Real Betis predictions
Real Madrid have won 36 La Liga titles and 14 Champions Leagues throughout their rich history. No other club can match either record.
Yet despite their dominance at home and abroad, Madrid have only lifted the two trophies in the same season on four occasions: 1956/57, 1957/58, 2016/17 and 2021/22.
The Blancos have the chance to make it five early next month. Having already wrapped up the La Liga crown, Madrid are due to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1. Unsurprisingly, the 14-time kings of the continent are strong favourites.
Before that, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will conclude their La Liga campaign against Real Betis. Madrid have won the league at a canter this time around and, if results go their way on the final weekend, they could finish 15 points clear of the chasing pack at the summit of the standings.
A win here would move Madrid onto 97 points, a tally they have bettered in just one previous season (2011/12, when Jose Mourinho was the man in the dugout at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu).
In the past Ancelotti has been criticised for his record in various league seasons, with the feeling that his managerial style is better suited to knockout football. This term, though, he has done a fantastic job of leading Madrid to the title.
The fact the Italian has done so while also taking the team to the Champions League final is testament to his ability. There can no longer be any doubt that Ancelotti is among the best coaches in the history of the game.
It will be interesting to see whether he names his strongest possible XI for the visit of Real Betis, or whether the Madrid manager opts to keep his Champions League starters as fresh as possible.
Either way, Ancelotti and his players will be determined to say goodbye to this La Liga season with a victory on Saturday.
Real Madrid vs Real Betis betting tips
Real Madrid will be looking to sign off on a high at the end of a successful La Liga season.
Real Madrid to win and both teams to score – 6/4 (BoyleSports)
Whatever happens this weekend, Real Betis’ fate has already been decided: the club will play in the Europa Conference League next season.
Seventh in the standings, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are four points clear of Villarreal in eighth and four points adrift of Real Sociedad in sixth.
Even if the visitors to the Bernabeu had something to play for, avoiding defeat would be difficult. Madrid have been fantastic in front of their own fans all season long, winning 16 and drawing two of their 18 home games in La Liga.

During that time they have scored 48 goals and conceded just nine. No club in the division has a better attacking or defensive record on their own turf.
The fact Real Betis cannot move from their present position merely provides another reason to fancy Real Madrid in this game.
Having said that, it is not too difficult to imagine Real Betis finding the back of the net this weekend. Madrid may struggle to play at maximum intensity ahead of the Champions League final, so Pellegrini’s side may well get on the scoresheet.

Real Madrid to win the second half – 4/6 (Unibet)
Real Madrid’s excellent record at the Bernabeu this season is primarily down to their second-half performances.
Ancelotti’s team have been level or behind after 45 minutes in eight of their 18 games on familiar turf.
Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid have actually outperformed Madrid in the first half of home matches.
After the break, though, the Blancos have been magnificent. They have won a remarkable 16 of 18 second halves at their own stadium, conceding only four goals in that time.
That underlines how difficult it will be for Real Betis to get the better of their hosts in the second period on Saturday.

Joselu to score any time – 6/5 (bet365)
With the Champions League final fast approaching, Ancelotti may give some of his older starters the evening off on Saturday.
But he is unlikely to name a completely second-string XI. Ancelotti will want to keep some of his main men sharp ahead of the tussle with Borussia Dortmund, whose domestic season is already complete.
One man who could come into the team is Joselu. The experienced striker was the unlikely hero against Bayern Munich in the semi-final second leg, but he will not be in the team for the final barring an injury to one of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo or Jude Bellingham.
That increases the chances of Joselu being handed an opportunity from the first whistle against Real Betis.
The former Espanyol and Stoke City forward has had an important role to play this season and we like his chances of scoring for the 11th time in La Liga.
