Kylian Mbappe and Martin Brundle had quite a bit of an awkward moment at the Monaco Grand Prix during his grid talks.
Sky Sports F1 presenter Brundle, notorious for getting some big scoops at the Formula 1, tried to speak to Paris Saint-Germain star Mbappe.
But the Frenchman did not seem keen on having Brundle quiz him on the Monaco Grand Prix.
Brundle, as always, persisted with his questions as Mbappe carried on walking along with some security, who tried to keep him away from the 25-year-old.
It prompted Brundle to say: “It’s alright mate I’m in charge around here.” It is not that easy to shake off Martin!
Brundle did manage to ask the World Cup winner: “I reckon you are faster than some of these cars.”
Mbappe did reply before darting off: “No, no I am not faster. I am just here as a fan.”
But eventually, the France international, who seems set on a transfer to Real Madrid, outpaced the 64-year-old.
One fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Mbappe doing everything to dodge Martin Brundle.”
But another added: “How disrespectful was Kylian Mbappe to Martin Brundle on his gridwalk. Martin is a Legend.”
With the Monaco Grand Prix always attracting the biggest stars of the world, Brundle did manage to grab chats with some other A-listers including actor Anya Taylor-Joy, singer Joe Jonas and even Diogo Dalot, fresh from winning the FA Cup with Manchester United.
Ben Chilwell was also down on the grid, who told Brundle it was “very tight” and “very hot” in Monaco.
The Chelsea star was with his close pal Mason Mount, who left for United last year, though the midfielder was not around when Brundle was snooping.
