Bet of the Day
Atalanta vs Torino – Atalanta to win and Both Teams to Score @ 5/1
Atalanta secured their first ever European trophy by defeating Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen – who had been unbeaten in all competitions this season – 3-0 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and La Dea could return to domestic duties with yet another victory against Torino.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have won each of their last five Serie A matches – scoring exactly two goals in each – and occupy the fifth and final Champions League spot, although they were already assured of this qualification prior to their Europa League triumph.
Torino have had a relatively successful season by their standards, lying in ninth place and conceding just 33 league goals – the fourth best defensive record in the division.
The visitors are in form, having won their last two league fixtures, which includes a 3-1 win over AC Milan last time out. However, they have won just one of their last seven visits to the Gewiss Stadium and could therefore struggle for all three points on Sunday.
Still, goals have been common in this fixture with both teams scoring in six of the last seven meetings between the two, four of which have been won by La Dea, so a consolation goal is certainly achievable for Il Toro even in another Atalanta win.
Special of the day
Leeds vs Southampton – Crysencio Summerville and Adam Armstrong to score anytime @ 27/4
Both Leeds and Southampton are looking to return to the Premier League after dropping down to the Championship last season and, with the attacking quality on both sides, an entertaining affair could be in store.
Three Leeds players netted over 10 goals this season and the man at the top of this list for the Whites, Crysencio Summerville, could rise to the occasion on Sunday having scored 19 league goals this campaign.
Saints frontman Adam Armstrong boasts an even better record in front of goal with 21 – as well as 13 assists – and the Southampton striker will likely be the primary goal threat for the Hampshire side. With the two desperate to play their part this weekend with the prize of Premier League football at stake, back both to get on the scoresheet.
Longshot of the day
Getafe vs Mallorca – Mallorca to win to nil @ 19/5
Mallorca survived the drop in La Liga with a game to spare thanks to a run of three games unbeaten and they could continue this form in their final game against a Getafe side that have been poor in recent weeks.
The hosts have lost each of their last four matches in the league and have failed to score in any, conceding seven goals in the process.
Mallorca’s last three victories in La Liga have all come by a 1-0 scoreline and having kept Getafe at bay in a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in October, they can enjoy a rare away win with the hosts ending the campaign with less than a whimper.
With the pressure off, Javier Aguirre’s men can play with a little more freedom, and it may only take one goal to win this one.
