Luke Littler was at home ‘for his own safety’ to watch his beloved Manchester United win the FA Cup.
United beat their arch-rivals Manchester City 2-1 on Saturday to lift their second trophy under Erik ten Hag.
The showpiece event came just two days after the teenage darts sensation Littler won a debut Premier League Darts title.
His victory came at the O2 Arena in London, so he was in a perfect position to watch United in the final at Wembley Stadium.
But Littler, who has previously demonstrated his club allegiance on stage, took to Instagram and revealed he did not attend the match in person and instead watched it from home.
“At home watching the game for my own safety today, YANITED,” he said on his story just moments before kick-off.

Littler claimed that he would remain in London after his darts victory to watch United at Wembley but it seems he changed his mind.
“I’ll obviously get stopped for pictures and everything,” he admitted after winning the Premier League on Thursday night via The Mirror.
“I’ll stop for a few but people have got to realise I have got to get on with my day as well. I just want to sit down and hopefully watch United win the trophy.
“I’m confident. I watched the final last year at home on the telly but now I have got the opportunity to watch it in person.”
Littler’s hopes came true as United pulled off a shock result to win their first FA Cup trophy since 2016.
Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring when he capitalised on a mix-up between Josko Gvardiol and Stefan Ortega.
Their lead was doubled before half-time when Kobbie Mainoo finished off a slick move with a low finish to leave City stunned.
Last season’s winners scored a consolation goal through Jeremy Doku in the final ten minutes before United eventually saw out the win.
