Celtic loanee Adam Idah clinched the Scottish Cup with his last-gasp goal against Rangers and fans want him for good.
In a low-key affair with little incident, the Scottish Cup final exploded into life when Idah bagged in the 90th minute to retain their trophy.
A wayward shot was spilled by Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland and Idah gobbled up the rebound to break the hearts of one half of Glasgow.
The 23-year-old only signed for Celtic on deadline day in the winter transfer window, joining from Norwich on loan.
And fans are desperate to see the Republic of Ireland international stay for good after scoring his ninth goal for the Hoops.
One fan responded by saying: “Celtic football club are winners & demonstrate it year on year! Sign Adam Idah in the showers.”
Another emphatically wrote: “SIGN HIM PERMANENTLY.”
Eluding to his eight goals in the Scottish Premiership, another fan said: “Adam Idah has won us the league and cup double. Sign him up.”
A fourth fan said: “Said it before and I will say it again. Get Adam Idah signed.”
While another wrote: “It doesn’t matter how much Adam Idah costs this summer, whether it’s £3/4/5/6m, Celtic have never had as much money in the bank as they’ll have this year, and the boy has done far more than enough to earn his move.”
Even ex-Celtic star and Norwich defender Shane Duffy, who has played with Idah at Carrow Road, said: “WHAT A MAN.”
Idah did speak about his future amid the celebrations and admitted he could stick around at Parkhead.
He told BBC Scotland: “I said I’d come here to try and score as many goals as I could, I didn’t think I’d score a goal like this in front of all these fans. It’s an amazing feeling.
“It’s hard to put into words. Anyone here can see what it means to the fans, to the players. I’ve always supported Celtic, it’s amazing.
“Football is tricky. I love it here, I’ve said it previously, it’s a great club but I’m still contracted to Norwich. I’ll go back in the summer and who knows?”
Celtic have now completed the double having won the league earlier this month while Joe Hart announced his retirement at the end of the season, meaning he has clinched silverware in his final game.
