Euro 2024 is getting closer as the continent’s best prepare to compete for glory in Germany this summer.
Countries will be aiming to get their hands on the Henri Delaunay trophy when the tournament gets underway in June.
England are looking to win the Euros for the first time as they try and go one step further following defeat in the final four years ago.
But for some, they are experienced in coming out on top of this major competition…
Which country has won the most Euros titles?
Germany and Spain have won the most European Championship titles.
They have both won the tournament three times.
Die Mannschaft won their first two Euros known as West Germany.
Their first came in 1972 after they beat the USSR in the final in Brussels thanks to a brace from national icon Gerd Muller.
Another European success then followed eight years later in 1980, beating Belgium 2-1 in Rome.
After a long wait, they then claimed their most recent European crown in 1996 when Berti Vogts’ side beat Czech Republic with a Golden Goal scored by Oliver Bierhoff.

Germany are not alone with their tally of three titles, as Spain joined them in 2012.
La Roja won their first European trophy in 1964 as they beat USSR 2-1 in the final.
A 44-year wait then followed before they tasted glory again.
Fernando Torres scored the winner as they beat Germany 1-0 in Vienna in 2008.
Spain then completed the impressive feat of winning back-to-back Euros four years later in Kyiv.
A dominant 4-0 win over Italy that included goals from Torres, Juan Mata, David Silva and Jordi Alba led to more glory.
Both countries will be aiming to add a fourth title to their tally this summer while Italy and France look to join them with three.
There are also some incredible stories from countries with one title.
Russia (Soviet Union) were winners of the inaugural European Championships and they have never won it since.
Denmark have one trophy to their name after going all the way in 1992 in a very unexpected triumph.
They only qualified for the tournament after Yugoslavia were disqualified and they went on to win it!
That fairytale victory led to a major rise for Danish football and they remain a contender for the title this year.
But the greatest Euros story comes from Greece.
The Greeks were 150-1 to win the tournament in 2004 but against all the odds they went on to win their first and only title.
They beat Portugal in the final after knocking out France in what was one of football’s biggest-ever upsets.
