WWE is well and truly in the Paul Levesque Era after a successful WrestleMania 40 marking the first under the new regime.
The Chief Content Officer recently sat down with Megan Morant and opened up about plans for the future.
Looking at the state of the company today and where he sees it in five years, Levesque said:
“I want to reinvent all this…not reinvent it, because there’s nothing wrong with it.
“It’s not broken, it’s not damaged; it’s the greatest form of entertainment in the world, right? But how do we all together take what we love so much and turn it into something even more?
“Going into WrestleMania, next year, I think it’s going to feel like a whole new place. And that’s less than a year from now.
“So five years from now, I expect it to be the same heart and soul, but just with a whole new bunch of s**t that’s just blowing everybody’s mind.”
He would also send a message to the WWE fans, calling for them to engage and that they’re listening, concluding:
“Keep doing what you do. Tell us what you like, tell us what you don’t. We’re listening.
“For whatever period of time you tune in, whether it’s an hour, it’s two hours, it’s three hours, that you can just forget about life, forget about everything else going on, and live in this fantasy world of WWE, and enjoy every aspect of it. Cause I know I do.”
Stephanie McMahon made her return to WWE screens at WrestleMania 40, introducing night two of the Premium Live Event.
It was reported that her appearance was kept “very quiet” internally and that she was “welcomed backstage by many.”
Triple H would comment on her return saying it was “so great to have her back home”.
