Mike Tyson is in impressive shape three months out from his fight with Jake Paul.
He has began promoting the blockbuster July 20 event and attended a meet-and-greet with fans in Virginia, where he appeared alongside legend Roberto Duran.
The 72-year-old Panamanian, who is considered one of the most gifted fighters of all-time, posed with a shirtless Tyson who wished to flaunt his physique to dazzled fans at the event.
Duran, who endured health concerns last month, posted the image on social media, with the caption: “Good morning family.
“Every day I am improving, and grateful to my God and all his messages of love.
“Here I am sharing with my friend that I love very much, Mike Tyson. Next time I’ll go shirtless. They are wanted for free. Stone hands.”
Tyson who stood alongside fellow boxing royalty, even shouted upon arrival at the event: “I don’t need a shirt.
“I have to show them what they are betting on!
“I want to show off how good I look, how in shape I am!”
Duran reigned as a four-weight world champion during his incredible career, but has recently received a pacemaker after doctors noticed a blocked artery in his heart.
The pair have been friends for several years, and there was a clear mutual appreciation between the two ferocious fighters.
Despite Tyson’s age, he is prepared to step back in the ring for the second time after clashing with Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition in November 2020.
Tyson has been warned he could suffer a health scare of his own in a clash with Paul, given he is far from his prime and already suffered damaging KOs at the back end of his career.
But he has defied doctors’ advice and has already began working with trainer Rafael Cordeiro.
His rival Paul has limited experience in the ring, with his biggest fight ending in defeat against Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Tyson is far more accomplished having broken the record and become the youngest-ever heavyweight world champion in November 1986.
He also reigned as undisputed king from 1987 to 1990, but his career ended on a devastating low with three defeats in his final four fights before retirement in 2005.
Another loss to Paul, who is 31 years his junior, could be another damaging blow to his boxing legacy.
