Chris Jericho has won a championship at tonight’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view after a brutal finish to the match.
Despite HOOK kicking out of two back-to-back Judas Effects, the match would eventually come to a shocking conclusion.
After retrieving a baseball bat from underneath the ring to hit HOOK with it, Chris Jericho picked up the pinfall victory and won the FTW Championship.
After the match, Jericho was, or at least claimed to be, apologetic to both HOOK and his father Taz, saying he just had to teach him a lesson for his own good.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynasty, there have been two other title changes.
Willow Nightingale beat Julia Hart to become the new TBS Champion.
She was however immediately confronted by Mercedes Mone, setting up the latter’s AEW debut match at Double or Nothing.
Earlier on the Zero Hour, the Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Colten & Austin Gunn) beat the team of Billy Gunn, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens to become the new AEW Trios Champions and unify the ROH and AEW Trios titles.
Elsewhere at Dynasty so far, Kazuchika Okada retained the Continental Title against Pac, and Roderick Strong retained the International Title against Kyle O’Reilly.
