Tiger Woods will make his first PGA Tour appearance of 2024 alongside a new caddie this week.
The 48-year-old features at the Riviera Country Club as he begins his plan of playing at one event each month this year.
Woods is set to tee off with a different man carrying his bag after long-time partner Joe LaCava took on a full-time role with Patrick Cantlay in May.
But who will be by his side in Los Angeles? talkSPORT.com takes a look…
Who is Tiger Woods’ caddie for the Genesis Invitational?
Woods’ caddie for the Genesis is Lance Bennett.
Bennett is a full-time caddie who has been working in the sport since 2003.
The veteran currently works with Adrien Dumont de Chassart who is the reigning Korn Ferry Tour Rookie of the Year.
Dumont de Chassart did not qualify for the Genesis, meaning Bennett is free to fill in as Woods’ caddie this week.
He has also previously worked with Sungjae Im, Davis Riley and Matt Kuchar.
Speaking about Bennett, Woods said: “As far as Lance is concerned, I’ve had a great relationship with him over the years going back to when he caddied for Kooch [Kuchar].
“[He’s] very down to earth, very loyal and how he has conversated with his players through the years, I’ve obviously taken notice of that.
“We’ve had the same type of feels in how we look at the golf course and how we read putts; they’re very similar.
“We are going to be a great team and I look forward to the challenge.”
It is not confirmed whether Woods and Bennett will be a long-term partnership.
Last year, the icon made a wholesome change as he invited his daughter to be his caddie at the PNC Championship.
His close friend Rob McNamara has also caddied for him, taking up the role at the Hero World Challenge in December.
