The final ‘Signature event’ of the PGA Tour season will take place this weekend at The Travelers Championship in Connecticut.
Last weekend saw a hugely dramatic finish to the 2024 US Open as Bryson DeChambeau capitalised on Rory McIlroy’s late collapse to clinch major glory at Pinehurst.
McIlroy now faces a quick turnaround to return to action as he heads up the field at TPC River Highlands.
The race to the FedEx Cup playoffs is heating up with just eight tournaments to go and the top two in the standings, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, will also tee it up again this week.
Keegan Bradley won this event last year while other recent former champions include Schauffele and Harris English.
The Travelers includes a total prize purse of $20million while the winner will scoop a cool $3.6m.

Travelers Championship: What has been said?
McIlroy suffered major heartbreak again on Sunday as he was beaten to US Open glory on the final hole by DeChambeau.
McIlroy bogeyed three of his final four holes at Pinehurst as LIV Golf rival DeChambeau won by just one stroke.
McIlroy has already won the Zurich Classic and the Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA Tour this season and will be eager to hit back right away at the Travelers.
The Northern Irishman refused to do his media duties after the US Open with DeChambeau saying instead: “Rory is one of the best to ever play.
“Being able to fight against a great like that is pretty special. For him to miss that putt, I’d never wish it on anybody. It just happened to play out that way.
“He’ll win multiple more major championships. There’s no doubt. I think that fire in him is going to continue to grow.
“I have nothing but respect for how he plays the game of golf because, to be honest, when he was climbing up the leaderboard, he was two ahead, I was like, Uh-oh, uh-oh. But luckily things went my way today.”
