The Edmonton Oilers received a bit of good news on Thursday, when Los Angeles-based rapper Snoop Dogg told a sold-out Rogers Place crowd that there will be a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup final.
“Tomorrow night the Oilers will win in this building,” Snoop Dogg told concert-goers. “I can see the future.”

Snoop Dogg, who was rocking a Georges Laraque Oilers jersey, led the crowd into a “Let’s go Oilers!” chant and said he felt the Stanley Cup was “coming home.”
The 52-year-old has long been a fan of NHL hockey. He performed at the 2017 All-Star Game in Los Angeles and even lent his laid-back vocals as a play-by-play commentator for a game.
Most recently, he was part of the group trying to purchase the Ottawa Senators. But apparently, his allegiances have shifted.
The Oilers, who were down 0-3 to the Panthers in the best-of-seven series, could force a Game 7 with a win in Game 6 on Friday night. If so, maybe they need to change their post-game celebration song from ‘La Bamba’ to ‘Gin and Juice.’
